We work with purely esports titles such as Dota2, LoL, CS:GO, as well as esports analogues of traditional sports like FIFA (soccer), NBA2K (basketball), and more. Based on the data we have available, we create and continuously improve mathematical models that help us predict match odds.
With a team of 150+ people, based in the Czech Republic and many other locations across Europe and Asia, Oddin.gg is growing at a fast pace and is looking for an experienced developer.

Your position on the drakkar:

Oddin is summoning a Viking or a Valkyria to join the raid as an experienced programmer to join our team and help us to develop and maintain multi-threaded distributed applications with an emphasis on scalability and performance.Build APIs (GraphQL, gRPC, REST) for internal and external applications and services.

Concerning the duties:

• Create internal tools and enhance our in-house applications and services.
• Participate in code reviews for your own code and conduct code reviews for other team members.
• Utilize cloud and serverless technologies (AWS).
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and practices in an ever-evolving landscape.

The honed abilities and seasoned wisdom thou shalt require:

• At least 3 years of experience with object/functional programming.
• Knowledge of Golang (we'll teach you it if you do not know it).
• Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and iterative environment.
• Work in a team where you will share knowledge and support other team members.
• Working in a time zone plus minus 2 hours from CET

Heroic to possess, yet not a crucial prerequisite:

• Knowledge of Go/Rust/Kotlin/Scala/Java/C++.
• Experience with multi-threaded applications implementation.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with reactive systems design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with API design in GraphQL or gRPC.
• Knowledge of AWS and Terraform.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• You are familiar with Agile development.
• Interested in esports and betting.
